Clarity is important - and yes, I've tried to assemble some projects with those kind of strange directions - though I've often found brevity to be important as well. My goal, and I don't always succeed, is to tell just enough in promotional materials to garner further interest. Then the challenge is to use high interest words for your genre without sounding like a walking cliche. Here's an example: With two men pursuing her, the crushing guilt of her secret, and the sad state of her finances, Ritzy Malone barely knew which end was up, but her stalker did.... That's not a real book, but it's one I'd personally give a second glance since I'm a fan of mystery and romance blended together.
